Tamarine Tanasugarn and Latvian Liga Dekmeuere upset American 10th seeds Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears 6-4 6-4 in the second round of the French Open women's doubles yesterday.

The Thai-Latvian pair managed a crucial break in the 10th game to win the first set and went on to build a 3-0 lead before the US duo fought back to 2-3. Tammy and Dekmeuere failed to serve out the match at 5-2, instead letting their opponents rally to 4-5.
In the 10th game, Tammy and partner appeared in trouble again after wasting two match points and were facing a break point before finally capitalising by winning their third match point.
Tammy recovered from being beaten 6-0 6-3 in her first-round singles match by Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain to achieve her best doubles run at Roland Garros with a berth in the third round.
She and Dekmeuere next take on the winners of the clash between Ana-Lena Groenefeld of Germany and Croat Petra Martic and fifth seeds Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic.
