A beacon of hope to be cherished

Unfortunately, not all Westerners, particularly young ones, understand this very well, as their thinking has been shaped in materialistic and less ethically oriented societies. Germany is only one example of this. Logical positivism and rational thinking typically result in suggestions like “Time for Aung San Suu Kyi to step aside?”

In Europe most politicians are (unbeloved) ambitious tacticians who seldom reach the hearts of their people. That is why Myanmar has good reason to feel blessed with a great personality like Suu Kyi.

 May she have a long life, always be healthy and strong enough to treat the wounded souls, as well hearts, of her people.
