It was a real treat to listen to Aung San Suu Kyi during her current European tour.
What a shame that Thailand can’t swap the cloned Yingluck as prime minister for this highly educated, gracious and admirable lady. In recent media reports it became clear how harsh the terms of her long house arrest were when we learned that Suu Kyi’s only link to the outside world during her time in confinement was the BBC World Service. Imagine! Only waterboarding could have been more punishing.
