Frowns forbidden in Land of Smiles

It looks as though Thai authorities have successfully snuffed out yet another important news incident.

Even when people mysteriously get killed (the four young women and one man in Phi Phi – at least three recent incidents), Thai authorities can successfully sweep it under the table. However, I would have thought bombs being tossed in downtown Bangkok would warrant a pursuance. But no, this is the land of mai bpen rai. Even bomb-tossing in Bangkok can be forgiven, because keeping the cash cow (tourism) milked is paramount. All else is secondary.
Congratulations to the Iranian authorities for successfully convincing Thai authorities to abandon the bombing cases. Iranians can be very persuasive when they don’t want dirty secrets to come out.
If compelling a foreign country to not pursue bomb-tossers were an Olympic sport, Iranians would win the gold medal. Pakistan would get the silver.
