Ministry needs to provide more advice

Enterovirus 71 is very dangerous for children because it is not only a hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD).

It can also destroy the vital organs and bring death.
The bad news is that Enterovirus 71 has indeed killed a toddler, attacking the victim’s lungs, brain and heart. As to the symptoms of HFMD, it is unnecessary to have blisters on the hands, feet or mouth. Look instead for fever, fatigue and contractions of the muscles in the arms and legs.
Although the Ministry of Public Health does not intend to conceal news of such outbreaks, it should provide parents and schools with more knowledge and understanding about this deadly virus, so that further loss of young life will not occur.
