I don't get why people should complain that, in Thailand, jail is only for the poor, and the rich never get punished.
Of course, this is part of the government’s populist platform. Why complain? Where else but in jails can the poor get free food and accommodation, plus access to cell phones and drugs? The rich can afford all of these without the handouts, so they need not go to jail.
