A document our children must read

I think the Truth for Reconciliation report should be welcomed by all Thais. It is a contemplation of our behaviour and actions over the past few years that should be kept for our children to study.

The fact that this report covers only a minuscule amount of what really happened should not be thought of as discouraging. It should represent an opportunity for us to delve in even more for the truth.
There are many questions to be asked:
Why is the inaction of the police during the 2010 demonstrations not adequately mentioned in the report?
Why did the report blame the red shirts for being involved with the “men in black” – but never mention anything about the group’s backers and paymasters?
Hence, I think the report is a good start for all the truth to come out in the future.
