Romney was Heaven's choice

Something's gone wrong with Sukrit Pahtumsirviroj's crystal ball. The celebrity astrologer who calls himself Mor Krit Confirm should contact truevisions, because he went and predicted that Barack Obama would lose the election.

Lots of people heard him make the forecast on the “Woody Talk” show on Modernine and, as a helpful reminder, the original YouTube clip is now re-circulating on the social media.

The Facebook humour page 9Gag carried an illustration showing Krit and Obama on the phone, with the president saying, “Really?” It sparked a rumour that Mor Krit wanted to sue 9Gag, but the soothsayer insists that’s “not true”. (Not that we’re going to believe him ever again.)
In fact, Mor Krit says that getting a prediction wrong doesn’t hurt him anymore because he’s traded in his oracle’s wings for a real-estate licence. “When I get it wrong, I accept it and don’t try to make excuses. Wrong is wrong – nothing to do with the stars being out of position.”
Besides, he adds, he was never good at reading political fortunes. Though he would like to point out that, of the 131 predictions he offered the public at large, only 20 were wrong.
So he was right 85 per cent of the time, which is not bad odds when you’re gambling on property investments. Mor Krit won’t say it any longer, but we will: “Confirm!”

Bird in a box
Two birds were killed with one Bird this week when GMM Z boss Fahmai Damrongchaitham signed a deal with singer Thongchai “Bird” McIntyre to broadcast his November 30 “Baeb Bird Bird” concert live – only to people who own GMM Z TV-top boxes.
Buy a box and you can also watch Bird all this month preparing for the show. The firm realised that live concerts are major TV bait, especially upcountry.
The company has so far sold 1.6 million boxes – 80 per cent of its target – and expects Bird to sell the rest. The deal can’t hurt Bird’s ticket sales either.
