How sad that it takes President Obama to speak out against atrocities committed against the Rohingyas, while so-called democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi for the most part continues to remain silent.
When I read about the horrible persecution of those people I ask what is the purpose of the democracy movement in Mynamar when there seems to be more violence and persecution now than before this movement started? Economic sanctions should not be lifted against this country until it peacefully and fairly resolves this problem.
