	Tulsathit Taptim was right in saying that the ongoing endeavour to rewrite the Constitution is just an attempt by politicians to &ldquo;slap&rdquo; the military. And that nothing good will come out of such an effort.</div>

	Coup-makers and self-serving politicians are two equally bad elements for Thailand. If two equally bad guys engage in a fight, the emerging winner will only become the biggest bully in society.</div>
<div>
	I, for one, don&rsquo;t agree with those who think this rewriting of the basic law will give us hoi polloi any better life and future.</div>
