New life for old trousers

C&D boutiques launches a charity drive to help the needy

Boutique New City recently launched its new C&D Boutique at CentralWorld with a charity event on the theme “Bring A New Look to Your Old Pants”. Young CEOs Pravara Ekaraohanich and Kanyuma Nonecome invited their friends and the public to donate used trousers in good conditions and is aiming to donate 600 pairs of pants to The Mirror Foundation, a non-profit organisation that works with homeless people, ethnic groups and hilltribes.

The boutique is also holding DIY workshops until next Saturday on the theme “reuse, reduce and recycle”, with C&D’s teams offering training in patchwork and quilt techniques and also demonstrating how to make cloth bags.
The launch saw celebrities like Saraichat Jirapaet, Orchuma Durongdej along with Thepin Ratchaibun and her daughter having fun at the workshop.
Jeans are jazzed up with natural fabrics or buttons creating a new look and charming texture. Plain pants become more fancy with colourful flower patchwork. Collage is another technique to use for decoration.
Wearing modified old pants can also save your pocketbook. C&D presented its summer collection in vivid colours and included lots of old modified trousers teamed with new bright tops.
Open your wardrobe! The trousers you never wear are useful to the needy. The charity project continues until the end of this month. Bring a pair of old trousers and you’ll get Bt500 reduction on a new pair from C&D.
