Vint Chavala was polite and light in criticism of the PM, only asking, “Why?”
Why would a Thai PM invoke other countries when it concerns the Thai Constitution?
Vint wrote: “It was audacious of the PM to speak out in such a way about her country,” but is it her country or that of those she panders to?
She was not only audacious, but also threatening, warning her opposition that if she cannot do the job then Big Brother Democracy will come in and do it for her, and maybe she prefers that Big Brother do it all, as her older brother might be too old and too little.
Too many Thais have the enduring belief that Euro-Caucasians would solve all of Thailand’s ills, if Thais could simply manage to sell off the country for a small fee.
Honestly, there are some Thais who, if they could, would turn over the keys to the entire Kingdom of Thailand in return for a pat on
the head from a well-groomed
foreigner.
