Four Thais – three native born and one naturalised citizen – make it into this year’s Forbes’ “48 Heroes of Philanthropy”: They are Kree Dejchai, Piriya Krairiksh, Sukum Navapan and William Heinecke. Congratulations!
Ironically, it is noticeable that the four honourable philanthropists are not Thailand’s four richest businesspeople.
Are Thailand’s richest few too busy lining their pockets to spare their valuable time to give to charity? Perhaps next year Forbes should make a list of Thailand’s biggest “takers” as well.
