Burgers and a jukebox

It's Happy Days again at the Angel City Diner, where the '50s never end

Just when you think the world is moving too fast, it’s not too hard to find a decent restaurant that transports you back in time to the 1950s.
With no frills, just fun and friendliness, the Angel City Diner on Sukhumvit Soi 11 serves up delicious American fare to the sound of classic rock ’n’ roll. With big booth seating, a soda-fountain bar and an open kitchen inspired by the sort of diners once popular from New York to San Francisco, you’ll be transported back to a bygone era in a flash.
First you’re greeted by oldies rock and classic tunes, booming from a Rock-Ola “Bubbler” Jukebox imported from the US. It’s packed with 100 great albums from the ’50s and ’60s, ranging from Elvis and Chuck Berry to Roy Orbison and Fats Domino. You can even choose your tunes from the comfort of your booth.
Great for friends, couples and even big families, the Angel City Diner caters to everyone’s cravings. The specialities include PB&J French toast, pizza burgers, foot-long chilli dogs and breakfast burritos. Tasty and fiery Thai dishes such as laab moo, phad thai with prawns, fried noodles with thick gravy and tom yum can also be had.
Sit at the soda fountain and watch the chefs sizzle and sautee your meal in the open kitchen while enjoying a tasty malt milkshake. There are more than 20 different soda and milkshake flavours, starting at Bt99. Try a classic malt milkshake or the banana bread or peanut butter cup shakes (both Bt159), root beer floats (Bt99) or a slice of cheesecake (Bt199).
If you like your shakes “grown up”, ask the bar to splash in a shot of Patron XO, Jack Daniel’s, El Jimidor, Bourbon or Stolichnaya for Bt99 extra a pop.
