Wanted: A government for all the people

Re: Recognise the right to protest peacefully.

Government supporters have not only been making threats. They have already attacked the White Mask group on several occasions with the police standing by.
Government allegations against the group contend it is hired to attempt to overthrow the government. The red-shirt movement was started with hired bully boys to harass the yellow shirts.  It was followed up by the “we have lost our democracy” red shirts – hired to over throw the government.  The demagogue’s brother in law has stated that protests to overthrow the government are a crime punishable by death.  The ex-Democrat government will thank him for that as it absolves them from any deaths arising from the red-shirt rallies.
Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm seems to have pre-information on a bomb attack in the same way he had instant knowledge of the businessman’s death.
The basic problem regarding political protests in Thailand is that there seem to be no laws to limit actions.  In the UK the loitering law means that people are not allowed to remain in one location for an extended period and can be asked to move on or be arrested, or forcibly removed. The underlying problem is that the police only
take action if the offending party is not aligned to the present administration.
The article states “A good government recognises its errors and rectifies flaws in its policies.” This government admits no error and by its rice pledging policy has proved that when it changes anything it is for the worse rather than the better
