Losing their religion

The recent attack on the Buddhist religious site of Bodh Gaya in Bihar, India, was an act against peace-loving people. Bodh Gaya is one of the cradles of Buddhism and a most important site of worship for millions for Buddhists around the world.

It is a universally accepted fact that followers of each religion should respect their respective messenger and the founder of the religion, and their places of worship. Asia is the cradle of many religions, and Asians generally nurture feelings of friendship, mutual understanding and peaceful co-existence.
The Asian Muslim Action Network stands for upholding these traditions and practices, and strongly condemns the Bodh Gaya incident. We call on followers of all religions and traditions to work together to prevent such acts in the future and to ensure that inter-faith tolerance, harmony and peace is upheld at all times.
