Somsak Pola’s memory of US actions is similar to his memories of Thaksin. It is true that the Second World War would not have been won without US involvement. The victory could have happened a lot earlier if, “tah dah”, the US had entered sooner instead of waiting to be bombed into the war at Pearl Harbour. They would have had an extra fleet of ships for a start. And imagine what a better world it might be now if the US had got involved early enough to prevent the Holocaust and all the aggravation that has brought the world since then.
The chemical weapons in the Middle East are of Western origin. Saddam Hussein was supplied with chemical and biological weapons material by the USA to combat the enormous army of Iran.
Try another way of looking at the world. How many people have died as a result of the needless wars carried out by the USA? Try 600,000 Iraqis for a start, using a non-WMD ‘Daisycutter’ bomb seemingly designed to kill children.
How many deaths of Iraqis from cancer caused by US “nuclear” artillery? How many of the USA’s “own people” have died in Iraq and Afghanistan for no good purpose? How many Brits were killed by “friendly fire” in the first Iraq invasion? Everyone that died!
