Perhaps there was too much foreign travel, too little involvement in the decisions that were being taken to know what was going on, too little being committed to paper, too much information being “confidential”, too much time on non-government business, complete indifference to the duties of government.
This is a government that has promised openness, but writing fiction takes longer than reporting the facts.
Meanwhile, “the Revenue Department’s revenue collection during the first 11 months of the 2013 fiscal year fell short of target by 1.2 per cent, or Bt19.13 billion,” says Somchai Sujjapongse, director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office. “However, the amount was 2 per cent higher than in the same period last year.”
Hard to contradict since we have not had the report on the previous year yet.
