DSI should be probed over their 'independence'

When Attorney General Attapol Yaisawang was appointed on 5 October he promised to work professionally and fairly, without political interference, disclose all cases to the public and protect the rights of defendants. "Attorney generals must be independent

Less than a week later he announces that the terrorism charges against Thaksin Shinawatra were dropped.
The previous great rush by the DSI to charge Abhisit for murder as a result of actions by the armed forces, who participated on both sides of the conflict, is now countered by meek acceptance by the DSI of absolution for the person who raised an armed mob that was accused of terrorism. It appears that a leader is not responsible for the troops’ action, or is that only for one side?
Should the new Attorney General investigate the DSI’s credentials on independence, honesty and not favouring any side?
