The new Who's Who: Be good for goodness' sake

Santa makes a list of children who've been naughty or nice. The United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship - the red shirts - only wants the names of naughty celebrities on its list

The group’s chairperson, Thida Tawornseth, on Sunday warned the stars – and the academics – who’ve been spotted at the anti-government rallies that they’re committing a crime against humanity, or at least part of it. “Those stars who speak onstage and those academics who came out, we’ll write down their names so we know they’re against the people,” Thida said.
It’s a sort of “Big Brother is watching you” thing, though there’s no actual evidence that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s big brother has requested this list. It’s just the generic Big Brother. People have the right to protest, but not that much.
Soopsip would like to help the reds. Our guide to the naughty stars isn’t comprehensive, but it’s a start:

Actually, it’s not clear what Thida plans to do with her list. Sweep all the people up for re-education? Jack up their tax rate? Have the traffic cops pull them over incessantly for minor infractions? Make them wear an armband? Ban their movies? Burn their books?
Probably the social media have some idea what’s in store. We join them with the discussion already underway. “She is so narrow-minded,” tweets @Bee_Meny. Thida has lost it, a dozen voices chime in. She’s supposedly a champion of democracy but she’s trying to intimidate freedom of expression.
Evidently Tangmo should be the most worried celebrity. Winyat Chatmontree, Thaksin Shinawatra’s lawyer, is scrutinising the speech she made at the Democracy Monument last week for any residue of defamation. If she gets sued, everyone of Thida’s list will have to be careful about what they say. Tangmo would be up against a guy with billions of baht who’s also the brother of the prime minister. The big brother, we repeat.
