Inspired by the Oscar-winning movie “Black Swan” and Napoleonic warrior designs, the new outfits are proof of Monlada’s talent by combining the modern with historical costumes.
Supermodels parading the new gear on the catwalk included Yossawadee Hassadeewijit, Namthip Jongrachatawiboon, Puntitha Cowell, Yuk Songpaisan, Nike Nittidol Pomsuwan, and Nattarat Maurice Legrand. Celebrities and fashionistas graced the front row, among them Intira Thanavisuth, Sikanya Saktidej, Grace Mahadumrongkul, Atita Sutadarat, Siriwan Thienthong, Vanvilai Techasomboon and Pitchana Sa-Nguansat.
Key looks featured matching form-fitting crop tops with lace skirts or pants, emphasising the curves and portraying femininity with sophisticated sex appeal. There were also short empire dresses that highlighted the detail and texture of the fabrics and revealed a seductive touch through deep-V necks and backs. The colour palette combined black and white as well as seasonal shades of burnt brown, dark green, red, and beige.
Monlada’s men’s collection featured a range of tailored jacket suits, shirts, and trousers. For more casual wear, the designer offered knee-length shorts and Napoleon and canon printed tees.
