American sand-sculpting specialist John Edward Gowdy and a Thai team from the World Sand Sculpture Museum in Chachoengsao created the striking sandcastle and a giant cartoon sand wall and conducted workshops with the children.
The Magic Sandcastle was best admired from a handy Ferris wheel. The Great Wall of Cartoons included characters from such famous children’s stories such as “Ben 10” and “The Powerpuff Girls & Friends”. In the Adventure Zone the kids were climbing ropes and rocks and digging up dinosaur eggs. In the Be a Junior Artist Zone, they had their faces painted so they looked like cute animals and made pictures by pouring out coloured sand.
