Deporting Satish will hit Thailand's image

Having known Satish Sehgal for almost 50 years in Thailand, I am closely following the attempts to deport him for his role in the protests.
He is commercially quite astute. I estimate he has employed at least a thousand Thais over those five decades. Entire families have a roof over their heads, food on the table and children in school because someone in their family was employed by Satish. Also, he must be among Thailand’s top 10 per cent of taxpayers. He might be just one person, but deporting him is not good for Thailand Inc’s international image.
