Season of the Witchy

Kingkan casts a spell with its new line of mystical outfits

Clothes that are “swift, strong, beautiful and mysterious at the same time”, the Beachy Witchy collection from Kingkan takes its inspiration from magic and spells of enchantment. A witch’s runic stones and the bugs in her potions are borrowed for the graphic prints and accessories. The orange of the sunset and deep blue of the ocean predominate.
Kingkan Salakonthanavat, designer, says the Kingkan women looks sexy and mysterious this summer. Prints featuring such bugs as the spider, scorpion, moth, dragonfly and beetle make an appearance on pencil skirts, shorts and wide-leg trousers, helping to camouflage any blips in shape. With a clean and easy silhouette, the cropped tops and see-through shirts are also key pieces and come either plain or adorned with dazzling embellishments. Hand-made beach hats in bright colours create an eye-catching witchy image.
Piyawadee Maleenont, Phitsinee Tanwiboon, Pimpan and Pimlaor Pookaiyaudom, Yokurt Raweewan Boonprachom, Kamonpan “Lin” Suwanmas, Anothai “Jane” Susamakulwong and Boonthida “Jan” Jaroensawat were among the models at a recent private preview at the Emporium’s Espace B1. Lady Boutique, in the same mall, collaborated with Kingkan on the spring-summer collection.
Thai fashion fans at the event included Adchara Umpuch, Inthira Thanavisuth, Sombat Tirasaroj, Natthanan Sahawat, Buachompoo Sahavat, Nichabul Nakasai, Siraprapha Chirabandhu and Pimmara Charoenpakdi.
Pawadee Isarankura Na Ayutthaya, Khunteera Pachimsawat, Darin Youngpichit Sophonpanich, Korn Narongdej, Uraiporn Chalermsabbhayakorn, Parvilas Pongpairoj, Naowarat Limprabhark, Pitchaya Laosirichon, Preechanan Chamanan, Patcharapimon Youngprapakorn and Lydia Sarunrat Wisutthithada were also there, sipping Kingkan cocktails made with Cointreau.
