UN an obstacle on Thailand's path to reform

The UN could and should have prevented the nuclear disaster in Japan in 2011 through its own International Atomic Energy Agency.

Instead, the UN – as usual – failed to do its job at Fukushima as mandated.
There are oil-rich African and Arab countries whose human-rights problems dwarf the allegations made against Thailand, but the UN picks on Thailand instead.
The UN wants Thais who have problems to take to the streets and to scream to news media, while the Thai government wants problems solved through established channels and processes that work.
Stop trying to micromanage Thailand, UN!
Stay out of Thailand’s internal processes, UN!
The UN has never successfully run any country and, in the view of many, has never successfully done anything.
The UN is nothing more than a talk-shop that talks without thinking.
