The National Council for Peace and Order and Prayut Chan-o-cha government should look for ways to turn the DSI around in order to make the country’s justice system work properly again.
Care should be taken to prevent the agency from ever again being used for any political purpose.
Also, the police force and the Office of the Attorney General have been shown to be utterly inefficient and lacking in direction. These two agencies should be revamped in order for them to work expressly for society’s interests – and not for any specific individuals or parties.
Thailand’s justice system is too frequently defiled by one scandal after another. Charges of corruption and the system’s inability to deliver justice have made our country look like a land under the rule of pirates.
