Her Nobel is totally justified

Re: "Malala's Peace Nobel: Too much, too young?", Editorial, October 17

I am moved by this young lady to have so much courage and conviction to cry for her right to be educated and have freedom of marriage. If the British did not take her to the Birmingham Hospital, the name Malala and the suppression of girls in that part of the world would not have been publicised so much. Her rebellious behaviour and survival succeeded in highlighting the inhumane practices of extreme Islam.
Any doubts about her age and her right to receive the joint Nobel Peace Prize is not justified. Her interviews, which can now be viewed on YouTube, were so exemplary that you wish she was your daughter.
She will be a great light to the sub-continent for many years to come but likely to fade away once she enters in Pakistani politics. She has already announced her wish to become prime minister of Pakistan.
She deserves the prize, but I still can’t see the justification in awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama within a few days of his presidency.
