Prayut must resist pressure over TPP

It has been reported that Premier Prayut had a chat with President Obama and the latter reminded him of the not-so-secret TPP (or TTPI) bilateral trade agreement that would force, among other abominations, Thailand to accept genetically modified organisms
There is not a shadow of a doubt that the US government had already negotiated this treaty with Thaksin in exchange for help to reinstate him once the climate was favourable. This explains the indignation of the US government when the then-General Prayut took charge of the country.
Unfortunately for the US, Prayut is much smarter than his counterparts in Washington think, and I sincerely hope he won’t sell Thailand short, as Thaksin did during his tenure and the abysmal “puppet tenure” of his relative and proxy.
