It was great to read that the animal welfare bill was finally passed by the Thai legislature.
The big question now is how well the law will be enforced.
In America you have the Animal Welfare Bill, which does not come close to addressing most animal abuse. But that law has often been used to go after animal abusers and these kind of laws give us something to work with. Still it’s important to realise that such legislation is not the end of the battle against animal abuse, it’s only the beginning.
