Readers need a more varied letters diet

As a relatively recent subscriber to The Nation and a subscriber to the Bangkok Post for a number of years, I was somewhat surprised to see the same letter-writers dealing with the same topics in both newspapers. How boring!

Your header states, “We welcome your views on anything newsworthy.” So why not allow expression of a wider range of views, to foster stimulating discussion on newsworthy topics? Publish only trite items on eating habits and egotists and you might be left with a small group of boring, narrow-minded writers.
