First thoughts on 'Thainess' - and 'touristness'

It will be hard to beat Stephff’s cartoons about Thainess, but the idea of soliciting thoughts from the public is brilliant – they would add even more humour to our daily read. The comments should be in the form of one-liners and could be split into several categories, including politics but adding others such as “At the shopping mall”, “At the restaurant”, “At the beach” and “On the roads”. There must be many more appropriate categories. While we are at it, let’s have some fun with tourists with what could be described as “Touristness”. (Anyone got a better word for it?) The best comment in the Thainess and Touristness category could be printed daily to brighten our lives.

Here are two examples to kick it off using the “At the beach” category. Thainess is taking a dip dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. Touristness is strolling the beach in minuscule Speedos overhung with a beer belly.

Come on, readers, it might be hard to compete with Stephff, but give it a try. The suggestions could all be compiled into a book for tourists.
