An elected PM would give hope to the masses

The PM says the charter is not yet written in stone and asks for suggestions. I have one: Ensure that the PM and all lawmakers have to be elected.

Let the poor know that they now have a hope of seeing their son or daughter elected to office without being in with the “right crowd”. If you want to appoint a Cabinet, fine, since it serves the PM, not the people.
If you make way for an elected premier, you will have accomplished something significant rather than returning to the old mess that caused all the problems and corruption, only with some new twists that make it even more complex for the average man or woman to understand. Making these changes would be a memorable accomplishment.
If the charter writers can’t agree on this, then replace them and start over. If you want this coup to be successful in bringing true democracy to Thailand, this is what must be done. Anything short of this will result in business as usual with some new faces.
