Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a very feisty lady, but she is dreaming if she thinks Islam can be reformed so long as Muslims believe that Allah dictated the Koran to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel.
So long as this remains an article of faith in Islam, there is no possibility of changing anything written in the Koran. And if you can’t change the Koran, you can’t change Islam.

One of the unarticulated presuppositions of modern thinking is the idea that no human being is infallible. No book is infallible, either. Failure to grasp this unpleasant truth will doom Islam to remain stuck in the 7th century.
