Pure inspiration for school kids

B2S has stocked up on Elle Stationery to get creative juices flowing, complete with terrific graphic novels

YOUNGSTERS head back to school next week and the B2S shop – refurbished and relocated to the fourth floor of CentralWorld last year – has set up a new corner for Elle Stationery to meet their every need.
With its “Free Time Freedom Runway” sales campaign, B2S is being promoted as “a cradle of inspiration” with an expanded line of products focused on functionality, high quality and great design.
“We believe stationery is the starting point when it comes to making your inspirations come true,” says B2S vice president Sarita Vatchara. “We offer one-stop shopping that caters to every customer’s individual character. Whatever they use can reflect their own specific taste.”
The stock is 60-per-cent imported and the rest locally made, set out in nine “zones” – books, creative stationery, art and design, office supplies, collectibles, entertainment, office furniture and do-it-yourself items.
Elle Stationery adds screened-canvas tote bags, leather clutches, pencil bags and notebooks with drawings of supermodels straight from the covers of Elle magazine.
“Elle Stationery is a good choice that actually fills a gap in the market,” Sarita points out. “Elle is a top fashion magazine, very popular. It deals in fashion apparel and accessories, but we think its stationery will catch the eye of the young generation, kids who want to say something about their personality.”
To goose students’ imagination, there are graphic novels from such new-wave publishers as Salmon, A Book, Pastel, Daifuku and Jump Out. The best-selling titles include “A Fish That Smiled at Me” by Taiwanese artist Jimmy Liao, “I Sea” by Munin, and “Mai Chai Nai Khon Diao Rok Tee Don Bab Nee” by Dogface Boy.
Designer pens are there to get kids drawing their own art, including the latest models from Lamy, Parker, Cross, Kaweco, Sheaffer and Troika.
Artists both professional and amateur can fill their needs in the Arts & Designs corner, which has premium oil, watercolour and acrylic paint, Sennelier chalk, and Conte a Paris and Arches paper from France and the US.
“We also offer workshops on different topics in an open space where customers can meet the artists and share their own inspirations,” Sarita says.
