Shine with an unmistakable sheen

Moroccanoil takes to the catwalks at London, Paris, and Milan Fashion Weeks

ONE OF THE most popular hair products at the latest round of European fashion weeks, Moroccanoil delighted both models and designers with its easy-to-use, performance-driven formulas that dramatically transformed all hair types resulting in beautiful, healthy, natural-looking locks.
Launched seven years ago, Moroccanoil products are now available in 40 countries around the globe. The brand’s Moroccanoil Treatment, Heat Styling Protection and Luminous Glimmer Shine were among the stars on the |catwalk of London Fashion Week when global Moroccanoil |ambassador and hair designer Antonio Corral Calero created a uniform of wavy hair to match Kristian Aadnevik nineteenth-century military theme in a style |he described as the “Waves of Wellington”.
Also at London Fashion Week, Temperley London wove a tale bursting with bohemian optimism for autumn-winter 2015. Relaxed, decadent, tribal and nomadic, the collection combined elongated and layered silhouettes with languid tailoring re-engineering the opulent mood of Paul Poiret’s 1920s. Colours and fabrics were rich and warm with textured feathers, fluid silks and beautiful sequins for the evening.
In keeping with the effortless, laid-back look of the collection, Calero created a rock and roll version of polished hair. The hair was the accessory of the outfit and had its own movement and energy,
At Milan Fashion Week, Paul Hanlon created the hair for Missoni and said he was inspired by the late 1980’s and Peter Lindbergh’s photos for Italian Vogue.
For his part, James Pecis created the looks for Costume National and Just Cavalli with a style that combined the late ‘90’s with class French-chic style. Charlotte Gainsbourg was a big inspiration for the first look – hair down with a soft wave – while the second look captured the ’90s with rough texture and black leather and feather accessories.
In Paris, Barbara Bui’s fall and winter 2015 collection came with hairstyles by Cim Mahony. The idea was to progress from the rock chick that has dominated the scene for so long, while still maintaining a natural look like the girl next door. Once again Moroccanoil products brought the shine |to the look.
