I agree with Robin Grant that it's ridiculous for Vint Chavala to go back 200 years in history and blame the British for the Rohingya problem. That reminds me of a letter last year that said it was hypocritical for white people to condemn the ivory trade
It is just plain stupid to blame people for things that happened before they were born. The reality is that Myanmar’s barbaric treatment of the Rohingya is what’s currently causing this terrible refugee crisis.
We could go back in history and dig up bad things that every country has done. But that is a diversionary tactic, which is not helpful to the people who are suffering now.
