It's silly for this government to take back Thaksin's passports and strip him of his police rank.
They took away Bt40 billion and slapped him with a two-year jail term for a dubious crime and yet you think taking away his passports and police title will agonise him? Yeah, I bet he’s in a closet right now cowering in terror.
I have a better idea. Why not humiliate him by demoting him to police corporal, so that the Thai press can refer to him as fugitive Cpl Thaksin Shinawatra?
