Of course the elitist Democrats believe all the millions of poor people who voted for Thaksin are “ignorant, dirty fools” who only imagine they were suffering before Thaksin became prime minister.
And it’s that elitist attitude we see in the letters sections of the English-language press that is the real root cause of the major problems Thailand faces today.
