The lady said, with a smile ‘Oh, we only have Bt500,000 – we sent our money (your money or my money?) to the head office at the end of the day’. I told her politely that is not my problem, and the bank should not pass its own problems on to their customers. After all, it’s not the bank’s money but mine.
I have never been so perplexed in my life – the bank says ‘We don’t have your money? Come back at 1pm, we should have enough by then.’ Needless to say, I missed my opportunity, as in the meantime the gold price went up.
So the slogan the bank carries, “We care for you”, is just a hollow phrase. For in my case, it cost me money to do business with this bank, and I concluded to remove all my money.
