The three pillars on which the nation state of Thailand is based on are Buddhism, democracy and the institution of principal importance, the constitutional monarchy.
It is wrong to violate these fundamentals of civilisation.
Reducing a country to a failed state with a partisan police force, killing innocent people on the streets and attacking judges with military weapons, and more is a gross violation of the very fundamentals on which the nation state is based.
It is not therefore a matter of opinion that such behaviour is unpatriotic. It is unpatriotic by any definition of the word.
I experienced all this on the streets of Bangkok and elsewhere. Nothing that I write here is a matter of opinion.
The principles of democracy are available for anyone to learn as are the laws and the precepts. They’re not a matter of opinion for those who make the effort to research the facts. Experience is far more valuable than uninformed opinion. Gaining experience by personal involvement takes effort and commitment and that’s a fact.
