I’d like to thank Arthur Chancellor for opening my eyes to reality.
All my life I have wanted everything to be “according to the book”. I believed democracy meant elections and that the majority vote wins. Now it dawns on me that fully representative democracy is not for Thailand, at least not for now. I welcome the ideas of a “crisis committee” and appointed senators. I even think it’s better that half the members of Parliament are appointed, since it would end the “dictatorship in the House” we suffered previously. The Constitution doesn’t have to be perfect – it should be mixed and matched to fit the behaviour of society.
There is uniqueness in everything. Now I understand why nature created platypuses.
