Always smart, always Smith

Paul Smith introduces a crease-free suit that's just perfect to travel in

A designer who enjoys doing something different, Paul Smith recently flew in a troupe of artists from London’s National Centre for Circus Arts to demonstrate the dynamic qualities of his new suit to shoppers at Siam Paragon.
Dubbed “A Suit To Travel In”, this practical ensemble looks as smart as any formal suit yet never creases or wilts, even if you, like the gymnasts, fancy performing a few back flips round the office. In short, it’s a suit every man should have in his wardrobe.
Using high-twist, 100-per-cent wool yarn, the autumn and winter 2015 Paul Smith “A Suit To Travel In” is constructed with quick recovery, crease-resistant cloth that has water-repellent qualities. The suit’s contemporary silhouette is complemented by all the features of a versatile and highly-practical tailoring piece, making it a distinguished example of Smith’s sophisticated but functional approach to suiting.
Presented for the first time at London Collections: Men in January 2015, under the direction of the former Head of Movement for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Struan Leslie, a collection of awe-inspiring feats were performed by artists wearing “A Suit To Travel In”.
“It’s a suit that really works,” enthuses Smith. “We’re travelling and showing it in a way that celebrates its ability to move and putting it through its paces in an extreme way. The suit is perfect for all climates as the cloth is 100 percent wool so it’s breathable and the construction allows for lots of movement. It’s a suit you can tour the world in!”
The suits are made in Italy and feature Smith’s signature collar split in two colours. Buttons are made of Corozo nut making them very hard. The suits come in black, dark grey and navy and are tailored for both men and women.
