Only a jury can ensure justice

I’m surprised that as a result of the death sentences handed down to the two migrant workers for killing those tourists in Koh Tao, nobody has suggested that Thailand should have a jury system.

If you had a jury with those who have experienced police brutality, or at least know those who have, would have been suspicious about a preposterous police “investigation”.

This is a country where the elitists refer to their own poor people as “dirty” and “ignorant” and even suggest that poor people should not be allowed to vote. How can any poor person in Thailand accused of a crime expect any justice, unless he’s tried by a jury of his peers?
