I have just emailed my 93-year-old mother in America, an avid bridge player all her life, to postpone her upcoming trip to Thailand until the likelihood of her doing hard time diminishes.
I can sleep better, knowing the boys in blue, backed up by the army no less, have started to get serious about geriatric card games in Pattaya now that they have dealt successfully with the international criminal gangs, jet ski scammers, ATM skimmers, bag snatchers and ladyboy highwaymen (highwaywomen?). It’s high time. I wonder how the elderly farang miscreants will spend their time in jail – not playing cards, that’s for sure!
