Nuclear-armed world is barely controlled insanity

Dr Frank, you’re right. Jennifer Kim’s prior letter was silly at best. Smart people worldwide, including leaders in Russia and the US, are working to lessen nuclear-weapons caches, as they should be. A nuclear world is like everyone having a loaded revolver pointed at everyone else. It’s barely controlled insanity. It’s like me putting out a poster saying, “Attention all thugs. I carry a loaded gun. If any of you tries to kill me or my family, just know that I might pull out my gun before you and kill you and your family before you kill me.”
Ms Kim would say that makes for a safer community. Hogwash.
