Count on Trump’s balloon to pop
Re: “Trump exploiting terrorist attacks to get elected”, Letters, July 21.
The first paragraph of Eric Bahrt’s letter was fairly accurate. But let’s face it, both sides are all too eager to capitalise on whatever occurs. Have you noticed the way Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama call for greater gun control after every mass shooting? I wonder if they’re going to call for greater control on big white trucks and axes now?
Don’t concern yourself with Trump getting elected. He has the blue-collar vote, as well as those of the police, truck drivers, tradesmen and rednecks, but Hillary has the women’s, black, Mexican, homosexual, transsexual and bisexual votes.
Needless to say, unless something truly extraordinary happens during the campaign and debates, the election should be a landslide for Hillary. This will be the first election in American history where no one truly likes either candidate. They’ll just know they don’t want the other guy.
