Catholicism and the Filipino thirst for blood

So while the Filipinos – who are 80-per-cent Catholic – believe it’s murder to destroy a fertilised egg or even a stem cell, they support a president who has slaughtered thousands of people without trial, almost all of them poor, some with their hands tied behind their backs and one, a five-year-old girl whose death Duterte dismissed as “collateral damage”. This is a perfect example of how religion has nothing to do with being “pro-life” and everything to do with being hypocritical, sadistic and cruel at a level that is beyond all human belief.
