Does Article 44 spell double-death?

Re: “PM insists on Article 44”, front page, February 27.
Sources inform me that the number 44, pronounced “sz-shr-sz” in Mandarin Chinese, is roughly homophonous with the Chinese words for “die, die!”
So can we call it the “double death” article?
