Solo but never solitary
It’s been a long time coming but at last the long-awaited concert of the most talented vocalist in South Korea No1 girl group “Girls’ Generation” is confirmed: Taeyeon will be on stage at the Thunder Dome Muang Thong Thani on May 28 as part of her “Persona” tour.
Taeyeon made her debut in 2007 as the main vocalist and leader of girl group SNSD aka Girls’ Generation, which released a series of single and album hits before each of its members embarked on solo careers.
Taeyeon is also focusing on her own album “My Voice” which was released last month. She is hailed as one of the best vocalists among South Korea’s K-Pop idols, especially when it comes to ballads, and is a favourite among the viewing public for her recordings of TV drama songs.
Tickets are expected to sell out fast and fans are begging SM True Entertainment – the joint venture between True and Korea’s SM Entertainment – to either add more shows or move the concert to the larger e Impact Arena.
