An endless exercise in futility?

Re: How a group of calligraphers breathed new life into the Constitution (p1 report, Sunday, April 30)

This was the 20th charter that Thailand has seen since its first in 1932.
Busy guys! That's an average of a new charter every 4.25 years. Hub comes to mind.

Almost the same as the Olympics.
If coups became an Olympic discipline Thailand would win gold every time.
Thailand … given the frequency of the charters being changed, these people are in no danger of ever being out of work. Having to write such crap so beautifully must be tough though.

Penning Thai Constitutions appears much like painting that Scottish railway bridge ... finish it and then start all over again.
